In 2017 I formed part of the group of directors selected by major Galician filmmaker Óliver Laxe to participate in the training course organized by the Novos Cinemas Film Festival.

During the months of April, May, and June, I was mentored by Laxe, helping me to develop my audiovidual project focused on the River Lérez and the connections between rivers and the human being, both of them understood as intrinsic parts of nature.

I filmed my friend Bea swimming and walking around and I recorded my thoughts about what I was feeling at that time. I was ansious, young and unnexperienced but I thought I had a lot to tell. Now that I grew up it doesn’t seem like a big deal to me anymore but this experimental piece was necessary for me to move on and the process of filmming and editing it healed a lot of wounds.
